MISSION STATEMENT

It is our mission to help all students learn and achieve socially important and acceptable behaviors. By creating a safe school environment, students have the opportunity to experience academic and behavioral success through implementation of proactive positive strategies reinforced by student recognition.

PBIS Point System

(Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)

The following is a chart of the number of points a student receives each time a disciplinary action has to be taken for improper behavior.

Points Disciplinary Action
20 Held Conference with Student
20 Student Reprimanded
20 Referred to Counselor
25 Contacted Parent/Guardian
30 Held Conference with Parent
40 Assigned to Detention
40 Adjustment Center
45 ISSP
45 Corporal Punishment
50 Out of School Suspension

Points will be attached to activities in the following manner:

  40 - 60 points  . . . . Student may not participate in activities for the week.
  60 - 90 points  . . . . Student may not participate in activities for the month.
  90 and above points . . Student may not participate in activities for the semester.

 120 and above points and/or 10 or more absences . . . . Student may not attend prom.

Points may be reduced by the following:

 Each week without an absence will reduce the accumulated points by 5. 
 Each week without an absence and office referrals will reduce the  
 accumulated points by an additional 5 points.
